Good and Faithful Servant
Malachi 3: 13 – 4: 6 From the last book in the Old Testament the last thing that we see is the Hebrew nation is disgruntled with God. They see the Arrogant & dishonest people doing well and the thieves getting rich and they, in their frustration, asked why do sinners do so well & we do not? What is the point of our following God’s commandment when we gain nothing. This is true today some 3500 years later.
To answer this we have to look at where you want your treasures – on earth or in the kingdom of God. God has blessed each of us with gifts and talents that we should use to glorify our Lord. I do not want to be the stubble or the chaff that is burned – I want to hear those glorious words at the end of my earthly life, “well done good and faithful servant.”
